Daniel Bourgeois

Daniel Bourgeois
Executive Director

Daniel Bourgeois holds a PhD in Public Policy Analysis, a Masters in Public Administration, and an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Economics.

Before heading the Beaubassin Institute, he was the Executive Director of the Canadian Institute for Research on Public Policy and Public Administration, Senior Researcher at the Canadian Institute for Research on Linguistic Minorities, and Policy Analyst at the City of Moncton. He has served as an elected school board member and City Councillor.

In addition to his book on The Canadian Bilingual Districts (2006), he has published over 25 peer-reviewed articles and chapters and research reports in a career spanning over 25 years.

Michelle Murray

Michelle Murray holds a Master's degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Education from the Université de Moncton.

After teaching for seven years, she worked as a project coordinator at the Université de Moncton and the Société Santé et Mieux-être en français du Nouveau-Brunswick.

Prior to her appointment as a Researcher at the Beaubassin Institute, she occupied the same position at the Canadian Institute for Research on Linguistic Minorities and the Canadian Institute for Research on Public Policy and Public Administration.

Yves Bourgeois

Yves Bourgeois earned his PhD in Regional Development from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). As a Rhodes scholar, he studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University as well as Science and Technology at the University of Edinburgh, in Scotland.

In addition to his book on innovation in the furniture sector (Not Out of the Woods Yet, 2008), he has published many peer-reviewed manuscripts and research reports. He was previously Senior Researcher in Economic Development at the Canadian Institute for Research on Public Policy and Public Administration, Policy Analyst at the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, Management consultant with Connect IBS/Microsoft Australia and Researcher at the Senate of Canada.
